Installing Proxmox VE

1. Download the installer from Proxmox.
2. Write the ISO to a USB drive, boot the host, and install to the intended system disk.
3. Assign a stable LAN address and set the correct gateway and DNS.
4. Open https://YOUR-PVE-IP:8006 from a trusted LAN machine.
5. Apply security updates and configure backups before adding production services.

Do not publish the management interface through an unauthenticated public reverse proxy.
