Forgejo workflow

The website's source belongs in a dedicated repository, separate from production secrets and private Compose stacks.

First push

Create an empty private repository named homelab-docs in Forgejo. Then, from the website project directory:

git init
git add .
git commit -m "Initial homelab documentation"
git branch -M main
git remote add origin ssh://git@YOUR-FORGEJO-HOST:22/YOUR-USERNAME/homelab-docs.git
git push -u origin main

Replace the example remote with the actual clone URL shown in Forgejo. Your Forgejo SSH port may differ, and the server must be reachable from the website container. Do not publish the repository until you have audited all files.

Update cycle

git add docs src
npm run build
git commit -m "Update documentation"
git push

To deploy, pull on CT 110 and rebuild with Docker Compose (see Website updates). For production, prefer reviewed changes over automatic deployment of untrusted pushes.
